A 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Ecuador

On April 25, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador, according to “Adyrna” correspondent. According to the local Geophysical Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 20 kilometers northwest of Esmeraldas province. The tremors were felt in several regions, including Manabí, Guayas, Los Ríos, El Oro, Pichincha, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Imbabura, Chimborazo, Esmeraldas, and Tungurahua. No tsunami warning was issued in connection with the earthquake. There have also been no reports of casualties or damage. As a reminder, more than 70 people were killed in an earthquake in Ecuador in 2016.
