The name of the Qazaq Air airline company will be changed to VietJet Kazakhstan. This was announced by Nurlan Zhakipov, Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC, during a Kazakhstan–Vietnam business meeting held in Astana, according to the Adyrna national portal.
“The deal was implemented as part of the comprehensive privatization plan. The buyer is the SOVICO Group company. All deferred conditions of the deal have been fulfilled, full payment has been received, and the shares have been transferred to the investor’s account,” he said.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Vietnamese SOVICO Group expressed interest in purchasing an airport in Kazakhstan. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
