Serik Sapiyev, head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Karaganda Region and Olympic champion, has been appointed to a new position, reports the national portal “Adyrna.” The athlete announced this on his Instagram page. “Dear friends! I would like to share some recent news. I have been elected President of the National Deaflympic Committee. Today, at an extraordinary Conference, I introduced the new leadership team of the Committee and presented my upcoming plans as President. I express my gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, as well as to all the veterans and sports figures who participated in today’s event, for their support! Deaflympians, forward!” Sapiyev wrote. Previously, it had been reported that Serik Sapiyev was appointed head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Karaganda Region.
