During a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the Russian-led special military operation in Ukraine would end only if Kyiv "ceases hostilities and complies with Russia's demands," the national portal Adyrna reported.

Putin and Erdogan agreed to continue contacts through the diplomatic and military departments of the two countries.

"The Presidents of Russia and Turkey stressed the importance of maintaining contacts through the diplomatic and military departments of the two countries. Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized the open campaign to discriminate against Russian culture and its figures in a number of Western countries," the statement informed.
