Kazakhstan imposes restrictions on the export of wheat and flour

In Kazakhstan, until September 30, 2022, quotas will be introduced for the production of wheat and meslin, wheat and rye flour. This was stated by the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance, the national portal "Adirna" reports.

According to the Minister of Agriculture, by the order of July 5, 2022, quantitative restrictions on the export of wheat and meslin from the territory of Kazakhstan to third countries and EAEU countries were set in the amount of 550,000 tons, wheat and rye flour in the amount of 370,000 tons.

Restrictions will apply from July 8 to September 30, 2022.

Quantitative restrictions on the export of these goods are introduced in order to ensure the country's food security.

"At the same time, the goods placed and released under the customs procedure of export in accordance with the customs legislation of Kazakhstan and the EAEU before the date of entry into force of the order are subject to unhindered export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan," said the committee members.
