On August 3-5 of this year, the Central Election Commission held a seminar-council for the chairmen of regional election commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital. During the three-day working sessions, the main speakers, that is, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov, Deputy Chairman Konstantin Petrov, as well as members of the CEC Sabila Mustafina, Anastasia Shchegortsova, Asylbek Smagulov and Shavkhat Otemisov spoke.
The first day of the seminar-council was devoted to the results of the republican referendum campaign. The work of the commissions on the preparation of the referendum, the organization of the voting day, including the creation of conditions for people with disabilities were discussed. Also, an analysis of information and financial provision, results of training of referendum participants, applications of individuals and legal entities, as well as review of court acts was conducted. Representatives of regional election commissions shared their work experience in various areas of activity during the preparation and holding of the referendum.
There was an active exchange of opinions on the results of the first part of the seminar, and taking into account the results of the referendum campaign, a number of tasks related to the further systematic work of the territorial election commissions were given.
