Residents of Pavlodar ridiculed the repair of the main street, the correspondent of Tengrinews.kz reported.
Citizens claim that after the renovation, Kataeva Street became worse than before. But the video on Instagram with bitumen drops on the leaves and crushed stone on the broken sidewalk made Pavlodar people laugh the most.
"Renovation on Kataeva is ongoing. Applied technology know-how "spray asphalt on leaf". It's beautiful. I think everyone will like it," says the author of the video.
Meanwhile, not only the townspeople, but also the local authorities are dissatisfied with the renovation of the streets. According to the press service of Pavlodar akimat, this year, out of 12 main streets that were supposed to be repaired by the end of autumn, only Kataeva street remained unfinished.
A company from the capital won the competition for its repair costing almost 305 millions tenge. The contract with the contractor was concluded in July, but the work started only in August and was carried out with violations. Road users were issued six notices for the elimination of defects. However, poor-quality styling was visible to the naked eye.
The inspectors found out that instead of crushed stone, old asphalt was laid at the base of the road, which was then covered with new asphalt, thereby violating the technology. Asphalt samples taken by specialists of the Pavlodar branch of RGP "National Center for the Quality of Road Assets" confirmed the low quality of road works.
It should be noted that not so long ago, the ex.com. of Pavlodar apologized to the citizens on his Instagram page for the inconveniences, missed deadlines, and poor repair. The authorities promised that everything will be fixed next spring.
"According to Kataev, the customer did not accept the work, and the money for them was not paid. Now we are preparing the documents for the termination of contractual relations with the contractor and recognition of him as unscrupulous", - commented in the press service of Pavlodar ex.com.
Despite the intention of the authorities to terminate the contract with road users, they continue to carry out work.
