A joint session of the Parliament chambers was held today, where the first session of the eighth elected Parliament was officially closed, reported the correspondent of "Adyrna".
Deputies adopted a special resolution declaring a parliamentary holiday until September 1 of this year.
"A new wave of people's wishes has arrived. For the first time after a long time, Majilis deputies were elected from single-mandate constituencies. The number of women, people with special needs and young people has increased. The eighth convocation can be called the youngest parliament among all convocations," said Majilis chairman Yerlan Koshanov.
It should be noted that Majilis deputies started their work in April of this year.
