Astana's specialized inter-district court on criminal cases heard a case of taking hostages at the Kaspi Bank branch, the "Adyrna" national portal reportef with reference to zakon.kz.
The court is conducted by the judge of the inter-district court on criminal cases Abinur Karabayev. Akshuraeva, senior prosecutor of Astana city prosecutor's office formulated the essence of the accusation.
According to the investigation data, the defendant Muradov decided to commit suicide by using medicine. Not getting the desired results from drugs, he came up with a plan to take over the bank. According to the prosecutor's office, Muradov tried to demand money from people in need, and then, during his arrest, police officers planned to shoot him.
Muradov made an improvised explosive device (from a lighter and a smoking device). He also bought a light weapon from a gift shop. They attacked the bank branch with these tools and took the employees hostage.
