Vladimir Zelensky nominated Rustam Umerov for the position of the new head of the Ministry of Defense, "Adyrna" reported.
Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov submitted his resignation. Reznikov announced this on the X platform.
"I submitted a resignation request to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk. "It was an honor for me to serve the Ukrainian people and the country's army during the most difficult period in the modern history of Ukraine for the past 22 months," Reznikov said in his statement.
