The state institution of the Veterinary Department of Aktobe region has allocated 224.8 millions tenge from the regional budget for stray dogs and stray cats this year, reports Adyrna correspondent referring to the official letter of the said institution.
Before that, the national portal of Adyrna published an article "Kargaly district spends 6,165,550.00 tenge to "catch" stray dogs and cats."
Regarding the same article, we sent a letter to the Aktobe Regional Veterinary Department and asked about the situation in the other districts, citing the fact that more than 6 millions were spent on stray dogs and cats of the Kargaly district.
In the reply from the Veterinary Department:
"Your letter dated September 18, 2023 No. ЗТ2023-01818819
informs you of the following regarding your request.
by region for 2023
224.8 million for hunting, temporary detention, identification, sterilization of stray animals
Tenge funds were allocated.
(Including 52.9 million for hunting, 135.4 million for maintenance,
11.9 million tenge for identification, 24.7 million tenge for sterilization.)
224.8 millions tenge are spent from people's pockets for stray dogs and stray cats of one region.
