Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law canceling ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. The document was published on the official website of legal information. Euronews wrote about it, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

The law was unanimously approved by the State Duma on October 18, and by the Federation Council on October 25. In early October, Putin himself took the initiative to withdraw from the agreement - he said that, unlike the United States, Russia had ratified the ban on nuclear weapons tests, but "theoretically this ratification could be withdrawn."
