The Ministry of Social Work and People's Social Protection has announced that it has awarded benefits to the families of seventeen miners who died in the explosion at the mine named after Kostenko, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the information, the dependents of 21 of the 46 deceased miners will receive the following types of social support:
1. State social allowance in case of loss of breadwinner at the expense of republican budget funds.
The amount of this allowance is determined based on the number of dependents of the deceased and their monthly amount ranges from 37,322 tenge (for 1 child) to 111,560 tenge (for 5 children).
This type of allowance was also assigned to non-working mothers who take care of children up to 8 years of age.
2. Social payment in case of loss of breadwinner at the expense of funds of the State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the State Social Insurance Fund).
The amount of this payment is determined based on the income of the deceased person and his participation in the social insurance system. Payments range from 56,000 tenge to 272,000 tenge per month.
We would like to remind you that in accordance with the current legislation, payments in case of loss of a breadwinner are paid until the children turn 18, and in the case of full-time studies at higher educational institutions, until the age of 23.
It should be noted that benefits and social payments are assigned on the basis of a death certificate. Work in this direction continues and is under the control of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" KEJSC.
