According to SOME (Institute of Seismology), an earthquake was registered today, November 8 at 00:09 Almaty time. The epicenter of the earthquake was registered 323 kilometers south of Almaty in the territory of China.
"The earthquake occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers. Energy class of earthquakes 13.3.6. The magnitude is 6.1," seismologists from Almaty reported.
According to COME, Kazakhstanis felt a magnitude 2 earthquake in the city of Almaty, as well as in the villages of Shalkode, Uzyn-bulak and Kokpek.
According to seismologists from Almaty, there were five earthquakes in China in a short period of time. The interval between earthquakes lasted from several minutes to half an hour. Earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.4 to 6.1 were recorded.
