The 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbaev and Nurgisa Tilendiev will be celebrated at the level of UNESCO. This was stated by the State Counselor Yerlan Karin, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

"At the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference, Kazakhstan's proposal to include the 100th anniversary of the writer B. Sokpakbayev in 2024 and the famous composer, musician N. Tylendiev in 2025 in the list of UNESCO's famous days was supported. "The joint proposal of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to celebrate the 950th anniversary of the first encyclopedic dictionary of the Turkic languages called "Diwani Lugat at-Turk" was accepted," Yerlan Karin said.
