Today is the birthday of one of the founders of Kazakh children's literature, poet, writer, translator Sapargali Begalin.

The outstanding person was born in 1895 in the village of Degeleng, Abay district, East Kazakhstan region. He first received a letter from the village mullah, and in 1913 he studied at the Russian-Kazakh school in Semipalatinsk. At a young age, he learned by heart traditional songs, Aytis poems from singers. Under its influence, he started his creative career by writing poems.

The poet's first poem "Kazakh girls and boys" was published in 1914 in the magazine "Aykap". "Kyran Kegi" (1943), "Tsimlyan Sea" (1953), "Tandamaly" (1956), "Mysterious Spring" (1963), etc. A collection of poems and poems was published. In addition, he wrote prose works for children, a novel called "Zamana Belesteri" (1975).

The writer translated the works of Pushkin, Lermontov and many other Russian classics into Kazakh. During his eighty-eight years of life, the writer wrote about twenty poems, more than ten stories, hundreds of stories, many memoirs, researches, and articles.

In his time, Sapargali Begalin collected examples of oral literature of the Kazakh people and worked for many years in the field of research.
