88 years ago, on November 28, poet, author of the National Anthem (text) of Kazakhstan, winner of the Kazakhstan Youth Union award, Zhumeken Sabyruly Nazhimedenov was born in Kurmangazy district, Atyrau region.
In 1963, the poet took part as a delegate in the IV Conference of Young Writers held in Moscow, and in 1967 he sang the horrors of the Great Patriotic War "No, we must not forget!" was awarded the prize of the Lenin Komsomol of Kazakhstan for the collection of sagas. Zhumeken Nazhimedenov is one of the authors of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted in 2006. The song "My Kazakhstan" was written at the beginning of his creative career, when the poet was 21 years old.
