On November 29, Henry Kissinger, the national security adviser and secretary of state under two US presidents, who left an indelible mark on US foreign policy and received the Nobel Peace Prize, died at the age of 100. This was announced by Reuters, reports the national portal "Adyrna".

Kissinger died at his home in Connecticut, according to a statement from geopolitical consulting firm Kissinger Associates Inc.

According to information, a public memorial service for Kissinger will be held in New York. Relatives and friends of the politician will attend the funeral.

Notably, Kissinger remained active in his old age, attending White House meetings, publishing a book on leadership, and testifying before a Senate committee on the nuclear threat posed by North Korea.

Diplomats and politicians may not have forgotten that in July 2023, he traveled to Beijing on foot to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

It is also widely mentioned that he tried to bring the USA and the Soviet Union closer together during the Cold War.
