According to him, the current epidemiological situation regarding measles in the country remains complicated.
"Since the beginning of 2023, 20,188 cases of measles have been registered in the republic. 81 percent of them are children under 14 years old, i.e. 16,351 cases. 706 cases have been registered among teenagers, which is 3.4 percent, 15.4 percent are adults, that is, over 18 years old. among the elderly - 3131 cases were registered. Measles was registered in all regions. The highest rate of the disease was in Shymkent - 3069 cases, the rate per 100 thousand inhabitants - 263.5, in Almaty - 3010, in Almaty region - 1812 cases, in Zhambyl - 2724, in Mangistau - 1701 , in Atyrau - 1377, in Aktobe - 5.8 people. In Kyzylorda region - 1182 cases," said Smagul.
