Vice Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin got a new position. He was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced this in his decree, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Makashuly Zhumangarin from the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company," the decree reads.
Serik Zhumangarin was appointed as the Vice Prime Minister from September 2023. Before that, he was acting deputy prime minister. Later, he served as the Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the Minister of Trade and Integration. And since September 2020, he headed the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition.
