Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev dismissed the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran, Askhat Orazbai, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to the press service of Akorda.
"By the decree of the head of state, Orazbai Askhat Tuttsikabayuly was dismissed from the position of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran," the message says.
Orazbai has served as ambassador to Iran since January 2019.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev appointed Askhat Orazbai as the chairman of the executive committee of the International Island Rescue Fund.
"By the decision of the President of the International Island Rescue Fund, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Orazbai Askhat Tutsikabayuly was appointed the chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Island Rescue Fund," said the message on Thursday.
