Fraudsters are deceiving people by offering to extend the validity period of SIM cards. Kazakhstanis are spreading information about a new type of fraud through the messenger, the national portal "Adyrna" reports with reference to the Stan.kz site.
According to users, scammers call and pretend to be employees of a mobile operator. They tell victims of fraud that the subscriber's SIM card is expiring and ask them to follow the link provided to renew it. In this way, fraudsters gain access to bank applications, official accounts and other personal data.
