The International Boxing Federation — World Boxing — has published the final list of candidates approved for the upcoming election at the Congress. Voting will take place on November 23, 2025, during the Congress session in Rome, Adyrna reports.
The governing body reviewed all applications submitted in October 2025, and the commission approved the candidates who received a positive evaluation.
There is only one candidate for the position of President — Gennady Golovkin. According to the World Boxing Charter, if there is only one nominee for a leadership position, the Congress approves that candidate unanimously and without an alternative vote.
In addition to the presidential election, the agenda includes choosing a Vice President and electing two members of the Executive Committee. The list of approved candidates is provided below.

The Congress is the highest governing body of World Boxing. The session in Rome will be chaired by Vice President Dina Glikidis. The election process will be overseen by an independent body, and observers will ensure transparency and compliance with all regulations.
