Guests brought a Kalashnikov assault rifle to a wedding in Shymkent. Officers of the Department of Combating Organized Crime seized two automatic weapons at the wedding. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Emergency personnel received information that firearms were used during the fireworks display after the bride's send-off ceremony at one of the weddings.
The information is confirmed. At 00:00, while shooting in the air near one of the houses, the police arrested 2 residents of the city with automatic weapons. AKSU-47 assault rifle and AK-74 assault rifle with their license plates removed were confiscated from them. During the inspection of the scene of the incident, forensic experts found about twenty bullet casings.
A criminal investigation has been launched for illegal possession of weapons. Appropriate examinations have been appointed, necessary investigative actions are being conducted.
