The wildfires in Karaganda region’s Karkaraly district and Pavlodar region’s Bayanaul Nature Park have spread across 45,000 hectares, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, “Adyrna” correspondent reports. “The total area of the wildfire along the border of Karaganda and Pavlodar regions has reached 45,000 hectares. We remind you that in Pavlodar, the wildfire was isolated in an area of 10,000 hectares,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ press service stated. Vice Minister Yerlan Nurpeisov visited Karaganda region to oversee the situation. To extinguish the fire, 386 personnel, 64 units of equipment from the Karaganda region’s Emergency Department and local authorities, and aerial support from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense are involved. Aircraft have made 30 trips, dropping over 50 tons of water on the fire. Earlier, it was reported that an MES officer, Khali Khairat, died while extinguishing a wildfire in the Karaganda region.
