Almaty has moved to the "yellow" zone in terms of the epidemiological situation regarding the coronavirus. Yerzhan Baitanaev, the official representative of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee, stated this, "Adyrna" reported.

According to Baitanaev, the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of Almaty is awaited. After that, it will be known what restrictions will be introduced in the city.

Since June 16, there has been an increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus in Almaty. Research has shown that the cause of today's COVID-19 outbreak is a type of hidden omicron virus.

Before that, the Ministry of Internal Affairs agreed to impose restrictions in case of deterioration of the epidemiological situation related to the coronavirus in Kazakhstan in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. It was decided to take the following additional measures in case the region moves to the epidemiologically dangerous "yellow" zone:

transfer of people in close contact with the patient to remote work;
Remote work transfer of employees and pregnant women with absolute contraindications to vaccination against COVID-19;
compulsory wearing of masks in closed institutions and public transport;
Meetings with more than 10 people are recommended to be transferred to the online format.
It is also recommended to wear a face mask in air and rail transport, international bus transport, regardless of the epidemiologically dangerous zone.
