226 villages in North Kazakhstan do not have access to drinking water

226 villages in the North Kazakhstan region are suffering from shortage of livelihood. Only 26 percent of the population lives in the regions with drinking water, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
- The vast majority of residents in the north have dug wells by themselves. However, the quality of the water in the well does not meet the requirements. There are also residents who transport and deliver clean water from neighboring settlements, - wrote kazaqstan.tv.
The drinking water management structures intend to fully solve the problem by 2026. The regional ex.com. administration instructed the district leaders to accelerate the creation of design and estimate documents.

According to the plan, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development will allocate 7.5 billions tenge to supply water to 16 settlements.
