The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Olzhas Ordabaev, who said that it was possible to live on 85,000 tenge, commented on his speech at the Labor Day forum in Astana, "Adyrna" correspondent reported with reference to Zakon.kz.

Later, the vice-minister explained his speech:

"I did not say that Kazakhstanis should live on 85,000 tenge. No, of course. This is the minimum guaranteed level set by the state, and employers cannot set wages below that," said the vice-minister.
