The presidential decree on Murat Bektanov's release was announced in Akorda, the national portal Adyrna reports. "By the presidential decree, Murat Karibayevich Bektanov has been relieved of his post as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement notes.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov was appointed to replace him.
