The son of the deputy head of the West Kazakhstan regional police was sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
He had previously been acquitted by a jury. However, on October 21, 2024, the case was reconsidered by the Mangystau Regional Interdistrict Court for Criminal Cases with the participation of a jury. The crime was classified as “Illegal preparation, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic or psychotropic substances, or their analogs for the purpose of distribution.”
