Former Minister of Internal Affairs Yerlan Turgimbaev was imprisoned for two months. This was announced by the General Prosecutor's Office, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"On April 30, 2024, the specialized investigative court of Astana sanctioned a preventive measure in the form
of "custodial detention" against the former Minister of Internal Affairs Turgimbaev for a period of two months," the information says.
The Prosecutor General's Office continues to investigate criminal cases related to the January 2022 incident.
