Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation, according to Yuri Ushakov, the Russian President’s aide, on July 3, reports “Adyrna.”

He stated that Putin congratulated his counterpart on U.S. Independence Day, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

“Of course, the issue of Ukraine was discussed as well. Trump once again raised the matter of ending military actions quickly. Putin said he is

making efforts to resolve the conflict through political means,” Ushakov said.

They also discussed the situation in Syria, Iran, and the Middle East.

The last time Putin and Trump spoke was on June 14, and that conversation lasted 50 minutes.

It’s worth noting that today’s conversation was the sixth between the two presidents since the beginning of the year.
