Teachers’ and doctors’ salaries will be increased. According to “Adyrna,” the Government of Kazakhstan has introduced amendments to the wage system for civil servants, employees of publicly funded organizations, and state-owned enterprises under a resolution dated June 3, 2025.
The document states that salaries will rise for specialists working in healthcare, education, social protection, culture, sports, veterinary services, forestry, and specially protected natural areas. These changes apply to public institutions located in settlements that previously held rural status but have since been reclassified as urban.
The salary increase will be at least 25%. This bonus will be paid for two years from the date the settlement’s status changed.
The resolution comes into effect on July 24, 2025, and applies retroactively to employment relations dating back to January 10, 2024.
