Members of the military-patriotic club "Kirov" from Almaty conquered the peak of Ile Alatau, 3892 meters above sea level. They decided to name it in honor of two-time Hero of the Soviet Union, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Talgat Begeldinov, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

Four days after reaching one of the border posts, young mountaineers Akhmetova Tomiris, Timofeev Artem, Renata and Arina Linnik, led by military instructor Bakytzhan Perimbetov, climbed the once nameless peak.

"The wet stones were slippery and it was dangerous to move forward. We jumped onto the northern ridge, and in front of us appeared the endless peaks of the Ozerny Gorge. After eating and resting, we started towards the rocky peak. At 15:00 we reached our destination. We named the 3982-meter peak after Talgat Begeldinov, a two-time hero!" - military instructor.
