Today, the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Darkhan Kydyraly, together with the Minister of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, took part in the opening of the MediaLab journalism center.

In the center located at the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development under the Ministry of Information and Social Development, necessary conditions have been created for improving the qualifications of media specialists.

"If you remember, at the Astana MediaWeek forum, we said that we would open a center that would regularly engage in media industry research and professional development in the field of journalism and communication. Now, that's what happened today.

The "MediaLab" center aims to scientifically study media consumption patterns, improve the qualifications of journalists, especially journalists in the region, improve industry journalism, and develop the professional skills of press secretaries," noted Darkhan Kydyraly.

Methodological support is also provided to students studying journalism at the center.

"We plan to bring the best educational programs of the world's journalism schools to Kazakhstan within the framework of the Open Syllabus project and translate the best books and textbooks into the Kazakh language," said D. Wandering.

In conclusion, the ministers agreed to implement joint projects in the field of education and science.
