The meeting of the expert group on the approval of the project of the interstate program of joint activities on the fight against crime for 2024-2028 was held under the chairmanship of the newly appointed Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Dauren Abayev. This was announced by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the results of the meeting, the experts agreed to submit the draft program for consideration at the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.
According to Dauren Abayev, the project of the Interstate Program is aimed at improving the cooperation of CIS states and bodies in the fight against crime.
The document deals with the mechanisms of further development of cooperation in the fight against transnational crime, improvement of the model legislation of the CIS countries.
"In the project, special attention is paid to the implementation of coordinated interdepartmental, emergency and preventive measures, continuing the experience of participation in joint training exercises, active information exchange in the field of crime fighting," said Dauren Abayev.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs and the Commonwealth Executive Committee for the Coordination of the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime in the Territory of the CIS Member States. The participants of the council worked out the document and completed the procedure for its approval at the expert level.
