On March 27, Korzhyn village of Karatobe district of West Kazakhstan region was flooded. Akim of the region, Nariman Toregaliyev, together with the specialists of the Emergency Situations Department, visited the said settlement by helicopter and led the rescue operations of the residents.
The head of the region met with the villagers and said that they will be helped by the state.
"I call on all of you to be patient. Due to the natural disaster, several districts of the region are suffering. A special commission will be created for your losses. All damages are calculated. Adequate assistance is provided by the state. Now we have come to save you from the flood together with emergency service specialists. We will take you all by helicopter to the district center, Karatobe, to a safe place," said the akim of the region.
Specialists of the Ministry of Defense, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are carrying out the work of transporting about 400 villagers to the district center by helicopter.
