Today is the 115th anniversary of the birth of the first Kazakh cinematographer Eskendir Tynyshbaev.
The Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Tynyshpaev Eskendir Mukhamedjanuly was born on May 9, 1909 in Ashgabat.
He is the son of the famous scientist, public figure, the first Kazakh railway engineer Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev.
He started his work in cinema in 1928. Participated in the opening of the Kazakh department of the "Vostokkino" studio and the creation of the Kazakh film magazine "Songyi zhanalyktar".
Eskendir Tynyshpaev made a number of highly artistic plays and documentaries about the history of Kazakhstan. He owns thousands of photo masterpieces. He passed the path from a cinematographer to a director of author's films, and for the first time began to shoot stunts in Kazakh cinema.
He was called the elder of Kazakh cinema. Because E. Tynyshpaev, together with Shaken Aymanov, Majit Begalin, Kenenbai Kozhabekov, Oraz Abishev and other heroes of Kazakh cinema, took an active part in the development of national cinematography. He actively participated in the creation of "Kazakhfilm" and worked there as a chief cameraman for many years.
Eskendir Tynyshpaev shot more than 10,000 stories for the film magazine "Soviet Kazakhstan". Feature films "We are from Zhetysu", "His time will come" are his best works.
