Athletes from Kazakhstan who took part in the Dageki World Full Contact Karate Championship-2024 competition, which gathered the world's strongest karate fighters, took 1st place in the team standings. 17-year-old Diana Yeszhanova was among the experienced athletes who won a gold medal.
There are 21 athletes in the Kazakhstan national team that went to Canada to defend the country's honor, eleven of them went from Karagandy. In the championship held on May 17-19, the youth teams of the national team won a total of 9 medals, of which four were gold, two were silver, and two were bronze. Thus, in the overall team score, Kazakhstan fell in front of Japan and took the 1st place.
