The “Dostyk” order, given to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on behalf of Kazakhstan, has been put up for auction, reports “Adyrna”. The announcement was posted on one of the online stores dedicated to selling rare and antique books and items. The order is valued at approximately 7.9 million tenge. It is worth noting that Margaret Thatcher was awarded the “Dostyk” order in 2001 for her contribution to the development of relations between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom. The commentary related to the sale mentions that Kazakhstan’s first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, was a fan of the former prime minister.
