There has been a rotation in the composition of the National Kurultai, according to a statement from Akorda, Adyrna reports.
New members joining the National Kurultai include public figures such as Kazakhstan’s Hero of Labour and member of the Kyzylorda Regional Public Council Imamzada Shagyrtaev, the Business Ombudsman of Kazakhstan Kanat Nurov, member of the Pavlodar Regional Public Council Bakyt Bekseitova, and mathematician Durvudkhan Suragan, an academic at the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the rotation, the following individuals were removed from the Kurultai: Lev Tarakov (due to his passing), Bauyrzhan Kaniyev, Kulyshbay Bisenov, Aigul Orynbek, Serik Sadvaqasov, and Maksat Zhabagin.
Civil activist Aigul Orynbek shared on her social media that carrying the trust of the people is a great responsibility.
“Yes, a heavy burden has been lifted from my shoulders. Carrying the trust of the people is not just a phrase — it is a huge responsibility. In 2019, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev established the National Council of Public Trust. At that time, I was invited to join the council as an active public figure openly expressing her civic stance. I did not sit idly or remain silent. I openly voiced real issues of rural communities and highlighted the challenges faced in the regions. Some of my proposals were supported by the head of state. It was a good deed not only for me, but for the country,” she said.
