The general military faculty of the National Defense University named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is named after the legendary commander Baurzhan Momyshuly, Adyrna correspondent reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The opening ceremony was timed to the 110th anniversary of the participant of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union, People's Hero Baurzhan Momyshuly.
The event was attended by management, faculty and students of the university, as well as veterans of the Armed Forces.
"It is clear that the life and heroism of Baurzhan Momyshuly will always be an example for all officers and the younger generation. I hope that the opening of the general military faculty named after Bauyrzhan will make a significant contribution to the training of undergraduates of our faculty, "said the head of the National Defense University, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.
