A student from Shymkent won scholarships from 47 universities around the world

An 11th-grade student from the “Zhalyn” school in Shymkent, Bergey Omirbay, has received official scholarship offers from 47 universities around the world to study finance. This was reported by the Shymkent City Department of Education, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.

According to the information, the total value of the scholarships and grants offered amounts to $979,000.

The universities that extended offers to Bergey include prestigious institutions from the United States, Europe, and Asia, such as:

 

  • U.S. universities: DePaul University, Drexel University, Loyola University New Orleans, Florida Southern College, Susquehanna University, Whitworth University, Albion University, Canisius University, McKendree University, and others.
  • Asian university: Xiamen University (Malaysia campus).

Academic achievements:

 

  •  IELTS – 6.5
  • SAT – 1290

Bergey’s favorite subjects are mathematics and English, which helped him develop strong logical and communication skills, laying a solid foundation for his future career in finance.

In addition, he is learning Chinese and Turkish, and shows a keen interest in different cultures, striving for well-rounded personal development.

“This achievement would not have been possible without the support of my school, my teachers, and the professionals who guided me in my career planning,” said Bergey Omirbay.
