The price of bread in the country has risen by up to six percent a year, the national portal Adyrna reports citing Energyprom.kz.
According to the data, in June 2021, the price of bread in the country increased by 5.9% compared to the previous year. Among the types of bread, buckwheat and wheat bread became more expensive. Prices increased by 9.2%.
At the same time, the production of fresh bread decreased by 21.3% to 266.6 thousand tons. Pasta, noodles, couscous and similar flour products decreased by 17.9% to 75.6 thousand tons.
