The Department of Economic Investigation and Inspection of Mangistau Region detained the Deputy General Director of JSC "UzenMunayGas" Baurzhan Mambetsapaev on suspicion of abuse of official authority, "Adyrna" reports with reference to the press service of the Department of Economic Investigation and Inspection of Mangistau Region.
According to the department, Baurzhan Mambetsapaev, using his official status, grossly violated the established rules on employment and illegally introduced a number of his acquaintances to "Uzen Munay Gas" JSC. However, more than 9,000 residents of Zhanaozen are waiting to join the company.
"The investigation revealed that Baurzhan Mambetsapaev clearly knew that his acquaintances were not among the unemployed, that their qualifications did not match the relevant profession, and that they did not come to work at all.
Due to the illegal actions of Baurzhan Mambetsapaev, more than 46 millions tenge were caused to the state, and the rights of residents of Zhanaozen city to be placed in the company were grossly violated," the report said.
Other illegal activities of Baurzhan Mambetsapaev, embezzlement of budget funds of the company, officials and contractor institutions are being checked in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing. According to Article 201 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, other information will not be published in the interests of the investigation.
