Russian swimming champion Sofia Spodarenko has decided to change her sports citizenship and continue her career as a member of the Kazakhstan national team, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
The information was confirmed by Vladimir Salnikov, president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation. He noted that all relevant procedures have been completed.
It should be noted that the athlete's last match on behalf of the Russian national team took place at the Universiade in Naples in 2019.
