More than 104 tons of poppy straw were confiscated. This was announced by Polisia.kz, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the information, the Department of Anti-Narcotics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the police of the West Kazakhstan region and the transport police, and with the coordination of the prosecutor's office, completed a large-scale special operation to suppress the channel of food poppies containing poppy straw and opium additives from abroad.
