On February 24, the opening ceremony of the street named after Beybarys Sultan was held in Astana, "Adyrna" reported referring to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The solemn event, organized by the initiative of the board, was timed to the 800th anniversary of the historical figure. Askhat Oralov took part in the opening ceremony.
"We have prepared very carefully for this day. "Taking into account its importance, the Ministry of Culture and Sports has decided to keep the name of the outstanding commander forever in the capital of Kazakhstan," said the Minister.
After a comprehensive analysis, the choice fell on street #189 in Saryarka district. It is a six-lane street with a length of more than 2 km.
"With such large-scale events, we not only celebrate the anniversary of Beybarys Sultan, but also pay tribute to an important person for our history and for the entire history of Turks. We will introduce his educational works to the young generation. We will always keep the name of Beybarys Sultan in the memory of the people," noted Askhat Oralov.
Promotions for the 800th anniversary of Beybars Sultan do not end there. This year, the Ministry of Culture and Sports is planning a number of events on this day. They are held throughout the country and beyond.
