Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting on anti-corruption issues, Adyrna correspondent reports.
The Head of State noted that the uncompromising fight against corruption is one of the main priorities of public policy. According to him, in order to establish the rule of law and create a real rule of law, first of all, it is necessary to eradicate corruption.
- Early release of people convicted of corruption is prohibited. Courts, law enforcement officers, bribe-takers and intermediaries were severely punished. Since last year, we have started filing tax returns. These and other measures have yielded significant results and reduced the level of corruption. However, it has not changed radically. We must say this openly. Our citizens still face corruption in everyday life, - said the President.
