Today, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near the city of Garmsar in northern Iran, injuring nine people, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing the IRNA agency.
According to the information, all the injured sustained minor injuries. Some residents of the city reported disruptions to electricity and internet service.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake occurred five kilometers northeast of Garmsar at a depth of 35 kilometers. Garmsar has a population of approximately 49,400 people.
